in the
HEART
of TEXAS
Explore. Create. Do. Sit.
But what is there to do? Well if we could only fit it all on one page that would be convient...but here is a start. Your time in the Texas Hill Country on Lake Travis can be one of three things: 1) Relaxing 2) Adventurous 3) A little of both!
Lakeway Marina (Boat Rentals)
There is not another lake like it. Adored by many, scenic Lake Travis is 63.75 miles long, and with a maximum width of 4.5 miles. The blue water, bluffy lake covers 18,929 acres, and has a capacity of 1,953,936 acre-feet. The lake is considered full pool at an elevation of 681.1 msl. At this elevation the lake contains 382,092,882,600 gallons of water. Woah, I know. There are 270 miles of scenic shoreline around the lake and a lot of it is rocky, bluffy limestone with areas of dripping springs and coves that are breathtaking.

Stonehouse Vineyards
Stone House Vineyard is situated on a high bluff overlooking Lake Travis, benefiting from the moderating cool breezes from the water. The 7 acres of close-planted Norton vines are grown in semi-drought conditions. The soil is lean and hungry with layers of clay and sandy loam over decomposed limestone. The vines compete vigorously for moisture and nutrients. This competition encourages the vines' roots to dig deep into the soil where it is moist and cool throughout all seasons.
